Clarence Arthur Crane opened the elegant Crane's Canary Cottage restaurant on September 5, 1927, after combining two cottages in Chagrin Falls. The establishment, praised by Duncan Hines, hosted notable figures like Charles Lindbergh and John D. Rockefeller. Clarence Crane was also the inventor of Lifesavers candy!
