Historical Property Description:Named after Queen Anne of England, the Pilgrim’s major benefactor and financial supporter, the Queen Anne is located on Queen Anne Road in Chatham, a fishing village on the outer Cape Cod. Built in 1840 as a wedding present for the daughter of clipper ship Captain Norman Howes, it became the first parish house of the “First Congregational Church”, when Captain Howes’ daughter married a minister.
